Parenting Our Children's Children - Sydney

The grandparent support group is dedicated specifically for grandparents who are full time caregivers for their grandchildren. The purpose of this group is to promote a safe place where grandparents can discuss challenging topics, share experiences without judgement, build connection, eliminate the barriers of isolation, and to know they’re not alone in their challenges. Our hope is to educate grandparents with new strategies and skills for them to feel empowered and  confident stepping into the parenting role. Topics that will be discussed include building attachment, coping with feelings of resentment, how to manage difficult behaviors, understanding your grandchild’s diagnosis and mental health, advocating for your grandchild,  and resources available in our community.
