The Report of the Independent Blue Panel on Grants and Contribution programs highlights two Atlantic Canada success stories. At the outset of its work, this panel was asked to "provide advice on how to achieve strong accountability for the funds spent on grants and contributions...while allowing for their efficient management and effective access to them". Obviously a very large undertaking given that the work was conducted at a national level.
The two success stories highlighted were the Atlantic Canada Community Action Program for Children and the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Programs. Both of these programs are the foundational elements of our Family Place work.
Please take the time to review how the Independent Blue Panel highlighted our work by reading pages 29-30 of their final report.
